Researchers’ Night in Greece was organised by our new partner Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH)!
Participating in Researcher’s Night gave us the opportunity to present S2B – Solar To Butanol and explain how microorganisms can be used to develop more sustainable ways of producing fuels.
From the perspective of a researcher, it was a rewarding experience to communicate the main ideas of the project to the public and make a complex topic more accessible and engaging.
We enjoyed explaining how photosynthetic microorganisms can use sunlight and CO2 to contribute to the production of sustainable butanol.
The interaction with visitors and especially little children also allowed us to see their curiosity and interest in learning more about how such tiny organisms can have an important role in developing future renewable energy solutions
