KTH Royal Institute of Technology has announced a new Master’s programme in Molecular Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, starting in 2026. The programme responds to the growing demand for data-driven life science, combining training in cell-wide omics, computational programming, cell modelling and machine learning. It is directed by Prof. Paul Hudson at KTH, member of the S2B project.
Why this matters for S2B
S2B develops a solid-state photosynthetic platform that merges engineered cyanobacteria, advanced nanomaterials, sunlight and CO₂ capture to produce sustainable n-butanol. Skills in omics, modelling and machine learning (ML) directly support our work on strain engineering, light and CO₂ management and process optimisation across the S2B value chain.
