In this lab tour, we – current UTU students Eva and Henrique – talked with Elia, who is producing bio-fuels from cyanobacteria, in their lab in BioCity! He showed us some cool experiments he is doing to generate butanol from living organisms, and how he is improving the efficiency. This research is of enormous relevance for creating more sustainable technologies, essentially using living microscopic organisms to do useful things for the society!
